Co-operative
Housing Societies (CHS) is all about co-operation but that is what is lacking
in almost most of the Co-operative Housing Societies in Mumbai and that this
the reason why so many issues in each and every Co-operative Housing Societies. Various Act, Rules, Regulations and Byelaws
are already there to provide resolutions to most of the issues arising in a
Co-operative Housing Societies but there are some which can be interpreted in
different ways and thus cause unnecessary issues in a Housing Society.
Most of the
Co-operative Housing Societies are either due to (1) Ego (2) Lack of knowledge about the Co-operative Housing Societies
Act, Rules and Bye-laws that govern the Co-operative Housing Societies in
Maharashtra and how and where to apply these for smooth running of the Society.
My endeavor to
advise on issues related to Co-operative Housing Societies in Navi
Mumbai/Mumbai on a regular basis on this website. Also, I will endeavor to reply to queries
raised on this website to the best of my knowledge, but all said and done,
depending on your issues, you may be required to retain an Advocate/Chartered
Accountant or other experts.
